What is the Engineering Doctorate?

The EngD Centre VEIV addresses the field of visualisation engineering.

Research areas include the development, application and evaluation of interactive virtual environments and the associated technologies of computer graphics, auralisation, haptics, distributed virtual environments, computer vision, simulation and image processing.

Who is it for?

The EngD VEIV programme supports innovative research between academia and industry. Companies sponsor students to undertake a four-year research programme on a topic of mutual interest. The centre encourages students to be innovative and entrepreneurial. The centre also engages with its sponsors and students through a programme of events.
